For my seatpost.

Its the same as this one

Its a bit roughed up where previous owner used a saddle bag on some long rides. I'd ideally like to strip it back to the carbon weave or plain carbon, not fussed as long as its black and not scuffed white. If it saves me £200 on a new one then I'll be happy.

What are my options?

Wet sandpaper? Grade?
Chemical stripper?

I would go with wet sanding....should come off rather easily.

Would a laquer of some description be recommended once it is all stripped? Sorry this is all new to me.

You can use a clear coat if you want to have a gloss finish.
