Prototype Cannondale bike being used by Sabatini and Koren in Strade Bianche.
Looks like an updated Synapse.

Race wasn't that bad, well except Sagan and Cancellara cancelling each other out the whole goddarn race, that and Van Avamaert still not getting a podium spot. He's becoming 2nd Farrar.

this morning I came across Radioshack and Omega Quick Step training for Paris-Nice , I rode 15 kms with them (Boonen, Chavanel, Voigt, Montfort, Kloden , ...) .
The RS car was 100 m in front of them and the QS 100 m behind . There was also car from the Belgian TV with guys filming and shooting sometimes.
Some had TT bikes, on the flat they were doing 35-38 km/h with side wind and 40-42 with tail wind .
Not so fast I thought , but going uphill they didn't slow down much , 33 on a false flat (2-3 %) and 30 at 5% ...
Their bikes were impressively clean and shiny.
Coming back I saw Saxo bank , they were riding with their car just behind them which was probably safer.

Great win by Moser following in his uncles footsteps.

For a male pro, agreed.
Using these data as an argument for womens cycling being less exciting is of course moot.

I guess you didn't see the race.

Absolutely. High power numbers have nothing to do with whether or not a race is exciting. The women's Olympic road race was as exciting as the the men's.

+1 for Saramotis
There were a couple of times he was off the back of the break on the climbs and it didn't look like he was going to hang on so good to finish so high up.

Exactly and no one remembers who won the race, but will remember that Fabian kicked ass again. Who won Milan - San Remo last year again?
I'm not an Aussie, but I do remember a masterclass in tactics from Gerrans. All "Fabian" proved once again that brawn does not always overcome brains!
Any way, Strade Biance is quite luke warm race for me. Nothing happens before the last 5 km, but for some reason mamil seem to like this race. Maybe I need to wait for another 10-15 years before I "get it".
Last 5kms? Looks like Moser read your post, as did Flecha and a few others. Attacking all the way from more than 40kms out, after a break went before halfway. What more do you want?

But this goes without saying: Tyler Farrar will not win.
