The UCI is running a survey on the future of pro cycling.

http://www.uci.ch/Modules/ENews/ENewsDetails.asp?id=OTA2NQ&MenuId=MTYzMDQ&LangId=1&BackLink=%2FTemplates%2FUCI%2FUCI8%2Flayout%2Easp%3FMenuID%3DMTYzMDQ%26LangId%3D1

Lots of interesting questions in there, but most relevant is that there is an opportunity to offer specific feedback.

I suggested two things:
Reduce the barriers to new technology in the pro-peleton; specifically getting rid of the restrictive frame design rules.
    Lower the weight limit

The survey itself: http://www.aspectmr.co.uk/snapwebhost/surveylogin.asp?k=136079311931

Thanks, I told them to lift the weight limit and stop wasting money on that circus side show known as women's professional racing.

Where do we get to tell them that banned aero drink bottles, stipulating sock height and making all frames be 'UCI approved' is more absurd than a weight limit?

Thanks for th link !

Completed the survey. In my eyes, the UCI has a huge impact on how bicycles look like and how technological developments are implemented but the UCI doesn't realize this. Banning Obree's truck position, Boardman's lotus bike, ... Not to mention the recumbents. If not for the UCI, I would commute 10 kph faster to my work every day.

:?: :!: Really?

I don't see the UCI or anyone else spending much money at all on women's cycling, let alone wasting any.

I'd like to se a lot more coverage of women's cycling. I'd like to see them get the treated with respect, and for there to be a minimum wage introduced for pro women, as there is for men. Frankly that is a human rights issue.

You do realise that it's 2013 right, not 1913?

some competition aspects:
-ban radio communication
-level chances for ALL national teams at WC - be that, four- or five-man teams, whatever works
