Custom steel is the shiznits. I race on carbon and aluminum, and train on steel. If I didn't race all my bikes would be custom steel. In the end everyone has preferences.

Unlike thin steel tubesets, we haven't yet reached the pinnacle of carbon design.

Maybe so, but I haven't come across one carbon bike yet that makes me want to jump on and ride it as much as that English above or a Richard Sachs UOS or Pegoretti ect, ect.

Anyways, why are you so certain than steel is at it's pinnacle?

That was a great show. It's funny, it's only because I was driving across Kansas and got delayed by a blizzard did I sit in my hotel room and find out that it was tomorrow! And in Denver which I was on my way to anyways.

Ill probably never get to go again, but it was cool to be able To see and put my hands on so much of the stuff I only see online.

That English, my word. I would love to see how that stacks up in the tunnel (or under me in a race!).

Yes. I really, really like the aesthetics of that English TT bike. But in reality, will it be as fast as it looks? I'd love to try one, but that will probably never happen.

Where are the brake levers though?

It looks like the brake levers on the English TT bike are located on the lower set of handlebars, both rotated to have the 'lever' parallel to the ground.

Did anyone go this year and snap pictures of the Gaulzetti booth? Curious what the other bikes were other than the stuff I've seen on Velonews.

I like Nick and his work, but this looks just like every other Crumpton. I guess this is the signature look though, so it works. I like the simpleness of his frames a lot. One day when I get loaded rich....
