I note that the forums have again been updated as there is now a 'Road Cycling Community - Roadbike Forum & Board' with a sub-forums. Problem is that I no longer seem to have permission for several of the forums and using Google Chrome, when I click on Board Index >> Discussion, I see the message 'You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.' Am I jumping the gun and the updates are still in progress or do I need to send a PM to a site admin/moderator to get permissions for the new forums?

Standing still, means going backwards. Some things need to be changed.

Agreed, however, this is a forum, by default it is all about the content not the order of the sub forums. Moving them around doesn't make things easier to your defined audience.

O.k., so permissions may now be fixed. However, I "vote" to reintegrate "GPS, Strava, Ride pics and adventures." back into Cycle Chat. The way it is now just requires more mouse clicks or browser tabs to see what's going on.

I'm not too crazy about the separation of "Everything wheels" from Road, but I see some logic to it (addresses the too many stickys matter?). I personally would prefer to keep at least tires and gluing discussions within the main Road forum, as that pertains to "routine" rider-level stuff, as opposed to wheelbuilding, which may be more technical discussions focused for specialists (yeah, I know non-builders can discuss/get feedback on build options).

I would rather not have so many forums I separately have to check to keep up with what's going on.

Edit: It appears that the orange coloration in the left-hand column bell may indicate whether there are any new unread posts in an entire sub-forum. If so, this partially and slightly mitigates my concerns expressed above, but not by much. My preferences remain as stated above.

I noticed that if I am not logged in I did not have permission to read in the Road forum, but did have permission in the wheel-sub forum.
Logged in I can read in the Road forum.

Do you now have to open different tabs to see any posted pictures?
