which is to say; same mould/design template, few mods. Even the top tube is the same - flattened.

No it isn't. The top tube on the Slice is constant depth (height) from HT to ST, the LaPierre is deeper at the HT junction and gradually shallows out all the way to the ST triangle thingy.

everything else is just noise. It doesn't matter what 'other' differencences the slice or the lapierre have, their similiar seattube seatpost junction is pretty terrible.

So LaPierre comes out with their frame design in early 2012, makes a few mods for 2013 which we're seeing now.
Cannondale comes out with their design in late 2012 for 2013... and suddenly LaPierre is accused of copying Cannondale?

Please don't call me sweetheart unless you mean it!

Fair point! Gotta give me credit for seeing the differences though

Nibali was on it at Tirreno

seems pretty early in 2012 to me.

Clearly there's been a lot of IP sharing going on here.

Just in case we didn't see my post supporting the "Lapierre came before Cannondale" argument.

Interestingly enough there's a similar discussion right now over on a thread for what I think is an otherwise sexy, very desirable bike (for a WW who wants a performance all-rounder for ultra distance and climbing).
One person accuses NeilPryde of copying BMC.
Another retorts that BMC copied GT.
But, really, BMC is 30+ years after GT who in turn were 30+ years after Thanet Silverlight.

Which is to say, again, that it's funny how there's a tendency to give credit to the "big names" and forget that innovation and performance superiority can come from any size brand or manufacturer.
