I want to rebuild an Easton rear hub with what ressembles the most to an Easton EA90 aero wheel.
From what I measured, the rim has a 33mm profile.
I only find some Mavic 33 rims, with 28/32h configuration. Nothing else...
Anyone has an idea ?
Only options I know so far now is Kinlin XR 380, or AM Classic 420.
Louis
33 mm 20 h aluminium rim on the market ?

Ok just took a micrometer to kinlin xr300 and an Easton ea90.
Xr300 was 31.48
Easton was 32.28mm
Can't you make that work?
If you have to, couldn't you get 16mm nipples to make up any slight difference in spoke length?
I am assuming you are wanting to re use the spokes...

Thanks for the information Gregorio,
Yes ideally, I'd like to use the same spokes.
I didn't know the XR 300 was that much above 30mm.
Do you have the ERD of the rims ? Maybe it could work.
I don't think longer nipples make for stronger build though.

I got this from the BHS
Btw this was for the rear ea90 sl aero. The front is suppose to be 28mm deep.
Easton's website says 32mm
With a depth of 30 mm, the Kinlin XR-300 is an aerodynamic rim with extraordinary stiffness, but with very little weight penalty.
Weight: 465 grams
Width: 19 mm
Depth: 30 mm
Drillings: 16, 18 (black only) 20, 24, 28, 32
Color: Black and Silver
ERD: 577
Price: $42.95
Edit
I think Easton uses an xr270 front and an xr300 rear. I think you will be golden. Easton doesn't make the strongest wheels anyway... Go with a longer BRASS nipple if need be and report back.
