This is nothing new but it's still awful to hear.

Garmin lost 17 Cervelo R5 fully decked out in DI2 in the Tour of Med. The team is forced to quit the race. Nice gesture for other teams to offer loan bikes though.

According to Hamilton recent interview, it would be Cancellara.

Just like Guerdi said, I believe it is Thomas Dekker.

This article is my reference. (It's written in dutch :sorry: )

http://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2013/01/23/thomas-dekker-was-klant-bij-dopingarts-spanje/

The real article which was in the newspaper itself listed many arguments why Dekker would be 'Clasicomano Luigi'.
So I was therefore wondering what interview you are referring to Micky?

If the Hamilton interview is accurate, it cannot be Dekker. Dekker wasn't at the ToC the years RR was in existence. However, Cancellara was.......

I like the liberal use of blue painters tape to cover up some of the logo's/branding. Also, the track helmet is pretty cool :)

Not shure about that one. OK, maybe they had a good tourdeMed. Lots of good French teams out there. IMO Europcar comes to mind, lots of depth, either for classics, or stage races.

Thomas Löfkvist wins Tour Méditerranéen overall, first win for iAM Cycling. Lets hope he will have a better season then last year and rack up some more wins.

Another guy from the same time was using a Cannondale (posted in this topic or elsewhere) with the same blue tape covering the logos.

He's been very average for a while now, but talent certainly there.

IAM could be perfect for him. Happy to see him him.

I want to think that Cancellara couldn't have picked the stupidest possible Puerto codename if Hamilton's story is true. But then I saw that apparently Cipo might have only changed 1 letter of his name to cover his tracks, which could take the cake as worst cover up ever.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

From memory weren't cyclists listed on the Puerto report a minority...majority being soccer players etc?

Yeah, lots of other atletes - football (foot football, not hand football), tennis etc.

However somehow these sports have been able to protect themselves. Hopefully that won't last.

For me, Europcar don't have the stage race depth beyond Voeckler + Rolland (though Bryan Coquard is quite a talent!), Kern is a good domestique when not injured but FDJ has more depth in the mountains. Think an FDJ rider for mountains jersey at the tour if not riding for Pinot's GC hopes.

It's true, Dekker did not participate at the Tour of California 2008. My bad.

And yes, that's Cancellara who was speaking against the RR guys at the start of the stage :
