2012 SRAM Red Shifters, Front and Rear Derailleur, Brakes
2012 SRAM Red 170 Crank
2012 SRAM Red Brakes
Yokozuna Reaction Brake/Shift Cables
2012 SRAM Red Rings 50/34
2012 SRAM BB86 Ceramic BB
2012 SRAM XG 1090 11-28
2012 SRAM 1091R Chain
Zipp SL Speed 100 Stem
Zipp SL 42 Bar
Fizik Superlight Bar Tape
Zipp Carbon Bottle Cages
Speedplay Zero Titanium
Fizik Antares Saddle
Mavic Ksyrium K10 or HED 6/9FR
Continental 4000s Tires
Challenge Latex
Garmin GSC-10

With the uncut fork and spacers it weighed in at 14 lbs 5 oz with all you see above. I have a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio saddle on its way. With cutting the fork and removing the spacers and reducing the saddle weight I am hoping to dip into the 13's

You could lose an additional 40-50g if you changed out those zipp cages.

What are your recommendations for a sturdy less than 20g cage?

I got 2 ebay Chinese carbon cages that are the same mold as the zipps but weigh 19g each and only cost $10 a piece. I'll get the link for ya.

I haven't had a single issue with mine. Look great, very light and holdbth bottle firm without it being difficult to put in or brake out while riding.

Update:

The SLR kit carbonio is in. I saved 80 something grams over the Antares.

Another full shot. Don't mind the Specialized sacrilege. I am testing a 100 stem prior to cutting the fork. The SL Speed will be the final stem no matter the size.

Allright people, talk to me about lightweight cables.

Currently I am not sure how much weight in cables I have. I have Yokozuna Reaction housing with Gore Standard cables. According to CC I am 308 or so for the whole kit if it is all Yoko. I bet it is more with the Gore in there. Lesson learned, I will weigh the cables during the swap out.
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/product-components/2013-yokozuna-reaction-complete-cable-and-housing-kit-7347.21.1.html

Now let's talk lightening the bike up 200 or so grams. I see Power Cordz, AICAN, and Alligator as my options.

Here is a Fair Wheel Bikes Blog on the AICAN which 18gr/m. Which puts you around 83 gr. According to Madcow the Power Cordz are 78 grams. On the Power Cordz website they say 2.9 gr/m for the cord or 24.9gr/m including the housing. Or he says you could do the AICAN & Power Cordz combo minus the brake. While I am a Weight Weenie I also am an Aesthetic Weenie so it must match the style theme of the bike and the color scheme.

Power Cordz w/Mini I-Link has trouble?
http://forums.mtbr.com/weight-weenies/light-cables-power-cordz-1-2mm-mini-i-link-623018.html

As for the Mini I-Link supposedly they are 16gr/m. I am not sure if that is cable and housing. One thought in the back of my mind is I dont see them on the alligator page, but I found them elsewhere. I emailed Alligator about the website discrepancy.

Seems like you're asking about cable housing in addition to cables.

According to Fairwheel (in their blog you've linked), the absolute lightest combo would be AICAN for brake housing, Alligator Mini i-Links for shifter housing, and Powercordz for both cables.

I don't think you'll save 200 grams over the Yokozunas, but maybe more like 120-130 grams.

CC is normally good about their weights, 308 for Yoko Reaction.... AICAN is around 80 grams.... I am not trying to be a smart arse but that is simple math.

I am pretty sure the reaction is for the whole kit. Whereas the 80 is to cable a normal sized bike ie: with segments and excess cable removed. I cabled my sz 54 evo with aican + KCNC ti cable. 75g total.
