sexist? of course it's sexist. 100% sexist, and 100% real. welcome to planet earth sweetheart.
did you heard that santa claus doesn't exist, that it's just our parents?
Ah, I can also add to that that the level in ciclocross in USA is so much lower than in small countries like belgium and the netherlands.
I guess this is racist, right?

Wiggins is not off O Sys yet.
I pm'ed this to someone else recently, but I have an acquaintance that rides for Sky and asked him what the low down on the use of these rings is. Apparently, Wiggo doesn't train on them on his road bike most of the year and neither do a lot of the guys that used them last year. The reason is the shifting- its simply so shitty its annoying in training. Also, some of the guys feel that they're only useful for the peak period and its partially mental. I guess some of them also find it easy to adapt to them. A few have ditched them permanently as the shifting is that bad with mechanical I guess.

Really, still on this?
Any road models with this system yet?
I never took drugs to improve my performance at any time. I will be willing to stick my finger into a polygraph test if anyone with big media pull wants to take issue. If you buy a signed poster now it will not be tarnished later. --Graeme Obree

I wonder if you're talking about Joe Dombrowski who just signed with SKY
Personally, if the shifting is so shitty while training I wouldn't want the same performance on a race day either. I wish the shifting performance would be addressed on those rings. I run Rotor Q rings on my set up and although the ovalized shape is not as extreme, the shifting performance is on point every time.

I highly doubt that! Wiggins has been seen on round chainrings typically in training on Mallorca only a year ago.

I will always remember that 1200+W seated attack in the Roonde and sick year of TTing his way off other like he was a train.
Who honnestly think these guys are clean, c'mon.

Could be, could not be. Yah, adding ramps wouldn't be insanely tough, but when you can charge someone $350 for a minimally machined piece of metal why bother with things that would actually make it worth using?

I don't understand this. I run Osymetrics and they shift perfectly every time. The shift is fast and without drama both up and down. You might have to trim the derailleur as you go up or down the cassette (electronic does this for you though right?), and that's it. Have people just not got them set up right or am I just lucky?

Here's an interview with Cancellara from 2011. Interesting that the Anglo press didn't pick up on this...
They don't read German?
Thanks for the link. I had not read it before. There's the "I'm the last of the unicorns"-quote too. Nice to get in context.

Why the secrecy? This is after all the pro section
I've met Joe one time shortly at one of the bike shops in DC. I think he was having something done with his fit or shoes. Really nice guy and looking forword to seeing him grow with SKY and maybe put up some results soon. What a great opportunity!
I wish they would bother especially when charging money like that and do some extra research and development. Shifting ramps and pins are not a radical new idea. But as mentioned above, in many cases it really comes down to a proper install. Some are more straight forward than others and it's a game of millimeters. I could see a LBS not having the time to spend hours on adjusting a FD when they have 10 other bikes to work on but that's why it pays of to learn and do your own wrenching!
