sorry they're not the greatest pics but it was dark and raining so I will add better ones in the future...

future plans, lose more weight off myself then slam the stem / bars when its comfortable, then perhaps 50mm matte carbon rims to match the frame(most likely tubulars), perhaps that will tip it under 15lb, if not then maybe some bolt tuning too

12/03/13 Update

new pics, now with Farsports 50mm carbon clinchers

Wow - nice to see some different stuff once in a while. I have not seen a Bottecchia in a *long* time, I was expecting to see steel! :-)

Welcome to the club, it's a slippery slope!

hehe steel, that's what got me started on Bottecchia many years ago, an old(new at the time) steel 989. I passed that one on to my father so its still in the family..

thanks for the welcome :)

Same as mellowJohnny. Expected some Columbus tubing as Bottecchia was one of my steel bikes.
Good to see the brand here and :welcome: to the forum.
Enjoy your ride.

Lovely, lovely frame and a real made in Italy if I 'm right.
Needs some higher profile wheels IMO.

I do not reserve the team 'beautiful' for many bikes. Eat your heart out anyone riding Far East crap.

Fun with different brands and not just the same in every thread. Cool bike, and looked really good from the front. Was curious about that after seeing the first pictures.

 Very cool looking, very Italian. Where did you buy the frame? Do you think a 25mm tire would fit in the rear?
Thanks.

I like how the derailleur cables run through the head tube. Nice choice of components! Look pretty exclusive and yes it it quite lightweight considering an aero frame and alu wheels.

Nice!
