dear masters of wweeniers

I have a dilemma. Recently someone offered me ksyrium slr for a moderate price
Currently i have carbone SLE on..i will not switch to full carbon wheelset cause roads nowadays suck
After counting grams i found that its only a mere 200 gram reduction.

Do you think i shud get the ksyriums slr for the mere 200 gram weight reduction but its usd $ 1300 ++ or just waste my money on lighter brakes like the new sram red aerolink + sram red cassette + tune speedneedle = 200 + grams lost = usd $ 700

Thank you for any inputs u can spare

200g at the wheels is not the same as 200g of static weight, not by a long shot... but unless going uphill, and it would have to be pretty steep at that too to make a difference, the Cosmics will always be faster. Ksyriums are aero-anchors.

That means 1 for the brakes+cassette+saddle combo instead of ksyrium slr... Point taken

Nope, actually it was meant the other way around.
200 grams lighter wheel set makes a bigger difference then 200 grams lighter static weight.

Both wheelsets would leave you stuck entirely with proprietary parts.
