I was wondering if campa Chorus/Record cranksets are working flawlessly on a BB30 frameset. What do you need to mount a campa crankset on a BB30 frameset and will it work without friction noises when cycling.

You should post this in the road section instead to get better help.

But you need Campagnolos cups for BB30, 42mm instead of the normal ones. Just press in and do as usual

Yea... Na...

Campag press fit cups are totally crap!!
They are not deep enough and they work out of the frame and creak...

Parlee do some nice cups and I hear praxis has a solution in the works

Parlee only sells their BB/PF30 Shimano cups for now. Campagnolo version is the pipeline, releasedate unknown. Source is a comment by Tom Rodi of Parlee cycles on a BikeRumor article about their Shimano BB/PF30 cups.

I used the standard campy bb30 cups on my BH, and I never had any issues of creaking. When installing, I made sure the bb area was cleaned of any oil or debris, and then I used retaining compound (such as Loctite 641) right before I pressed in the cups. I also greased the cups were the bearings sit, the hirth joint, and the connecting bolt.

I'm using the standard Campy BB30 press fit cups and haven't had any issues.

Anybody know if those Parlee BB30 cups are lighter than the Campy ones?
