I finished my crit bike yesterday and haven't had a chance to ride it outdoors, just on the trainer this morning. This is my first aluminum road frame, been riding Giant carbon bikes thus far. (other bike is a DA Di2 TCR Advanced SL LTD) Also first Sram bike for me, longtime Shimano guy. On the trainer I couldn't feel any flex in the BB, even when standing and hammering along to Sufferfest videos. Obviously it'll be different out on the road , will report back after a few outdoor rides.

The bike isn't finished yet. It weighs 7.17 kg/15.8 lb (should be 7.05 kg now with lightweight tubes and 3T seatpost) as it stands, with the Garmin cadence sensor and Garmin out front mount, just not the 500 HU. I have a few plans and will try to get the bike under 6.81 kg / 15.0 lb.

Specs:
frame: 56cm Allez Race E5 OSBB
shifters: Sram Red Black
R derailleur: Sram Red Black
F derailleur: Sram Red 2013
crankset: Sram Red Black BB30
brakes: Sram Red Black
chain: KMC X10SL DLC
cassette: Shimano Dura Ace 11-25
stem: 3T ARX Team Stealth
handlebar: 3T Ergonova Team Stealth
tape: Cinelli Cork
seatpost: 3T Dorico Stealth Team
seatpost binder: Specialized clamp, also came with frame
saddle: Specialized Romin Pro
pedals: Speedplay Zero stainless
wheels: Zipp 303 FC clinchers
tires: Michelin Pro4 Service Course
tubes: Vredestein Race tubes (80 mm valves)
cables: Jagwire shifter / Shimano brake

Future upgrades:
Alligator iLink (~100 gm) or AICAN Bungarus cables (~83 gm)
Arundel Mandible carbon cages / Blackburn Camber CF cages (~40 gm)
lightweight tubes?
lightweight brakes? Planet-X or Ciamillo?

I got lucky. My LBS called the rep and he found one in my size. Their online inventory showed no 56 in stock.

My LBS is telling March right now. I think I can handling waiting a month, if it gets pushed back much further maybe I'll have them call like you did.

Nice bike. I've been wanting one for awhile because it would match my Stumpjumper
Why not just go for a 3T Dorico in stealth to match your other parts?
Looking forward to a review from you

Very nice Harold! Loving the SRAM Red Black, that's the final step for mine. Well done!

Yeah, that's the route I'm probably going to go. I'll post an update when I have it installed.

Is that from their online inventory or from the LBS' rep?

New photos with the 3T Dorico Stealth seatpost and a less busy (boring) background. Recent snow pushes back when the bike will see open road. Sitting on the trainer to the Sufferfest videos is not fun.....

Looks ace, but personally would prefer more color.

Just wonder - have you ever ridden a "normal" Allez with 1.1/8th + 68mm BB?

EDIT: kay i actually read the text before pics. :p

this is the most beautiful specialized ever. i love that it doesn't bling bling specialized, s-works, sl, super, mega, bg, tcc, opr, xra, and what not. very cool alu build. beautiful wheels too.
Happy Trails !!!

Harold post looks really nice fits the bike much better than the Specialized would have. Which Garmin mount is that?

Rob! It's been a while..... I'm hoping the weather improves so that I can actually ride this bike outdoors and not on the trainer. Definitely need to organize a ride when the roads are clean again.
