I don't think I've seen a bigger spoilsport in a while than Klaas Vantornout. From the finish line to the podium, he looks like he's going to cry and/or take out Nys. It's a tough proposition when it's you vs your team mate, but Nys has won like every major race this season. The right person won.

Plus Vantornout only has himself to blame for snagging his bike on the fencing in the last lap.

Interesting article in Italian Cycling Journal with the rundown on equipment for this year's Pro Tour (focus is on Italian builders/components).

What I found interesting (I suppose I was not paying attention) is the complete focus on electronic for Campagnolo and Shimano.

Astana Pro Team: Campagnolo components
BMC Racing Team
Cannondale Pro Cycling
Lampre – Merida: Fulcrum wheels
Omega Pharma – Quick Step Cycling Team
ORICA GreenEDGE
Sky Procycling: Pinarello frames
Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team: Bianchi frames, Campagnolo components (w/FSA crankset)
Movistar Team: Pinarello frames, Campagnolo components, Campagnolo wheels
AG2R La Mondiale: Campagnolo components, Fulcrum wheels
Euskaltel Euskadi
Blanco Pro Cycling Team
Garmin Sharp
Team Argos–Shimano
Team Saxo – Tinkoff
FDJ
Lotto Belisol: Campagnolo components, Campagnolo wheels
RadioShackNissan

Notes:
1) Lampre switched from using Wilier frames to Merida.
2) Colnago is missing as Europcar was not named as a ProTour team.
3) All the teams using Campagnolo are using the EPS (electronic) version.
4) Five teams are using Campagnolo components while ten teams are using Shimano and three are using SRAM.
5) All the Shimano equipped teams are using Di2; SRAM is the only mechnical group.
6) other wheelsets being used are Shimano, Zipp, Mavic, Corima, Vision, FFWD and Bontrager.
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.

Jens Voigt's Trek road bike (7900) and Sven Nys's Colnago cross bike (Di2) come out within 5 grams of each other.

Yeah I've decided that after that display this weekend, that Vos is currently the best rider out there at the moment, male or female.

It is an piece about a reporter being able to go with Sky and have free access over where he goes and when within the team.

If you search "No hiding place" by David Walsh it is the link in the Sunday Times.

I know you can't see it fully... but... what a average national champs jersey for Roulston and NZ. Plus they used the Australian flag too.
