Hi all,

I'm Erik, from the Netherlands and at the moment my brand new Casati Marte room is on the bed in the guestroom wating to be built up.... Just this afternoon I got a call from my lbs that alle the parts should there by tomorrow, so then I can finally get going. It is going to be built up with Campa Chorus CT, Marchisio Super Light wheels, Deda Zero 100 SC stem in Casati colors, Deda Superleggera bars, Arte Selle Misy saddle, Time RXS pedals and ITM carbon bottle cages. Not sure what the final weight is going to be, but it'll probably not be UCI legal. 8)

This is the frame, btw:

Nice

That's a great finish, in some colour scheme the Marte can look a bit 'old fashioned' but this looks sharp as!

I love the Marte, actually I love all the Casati's! Great, legendary Italian brand and heritage. I just built up a Laser and couldn't be happier with it. I'm not sure if all the Specialized/Trek/Cervelo crowd here on WW know about the Casati brand...

Did you get a custom size or standard? I think that is a standard Marte color way? Good luck with the build, you will have something truly unique and very well made. Enjoy.

For those who don't know Casati: It's a rather small company in Monza, who make truly beautiful frames.

This one is a custom made-to-measure bike, but in a standard Marte colorscheme. I'm not completely sure about the weight yet, but a quick sum of the 'official' weights of the parts suggests that it'll be sub 6.5kg. I'll post more pics when it's ready!

I was very interested in a Casati Demone until I saw this....

Apparently the "warrantia" was not honored.

I have submitted the weights for the frame, saddle and handlebars. Still busy working on the bike, but as soon as I have finished it I'll get the camera out. Looks like I was a bit too positive about the weight first (forgot that a bike need things like tires, cables etc. too... ), but I'm still hoping to keep it under 7kg.

Ok, here are a few more pics of my Marte. ISP and steerer still have to be cut and the stem and wheels will be replaced by a black-on-black stem and Marchisio Super Light wheels with black tires.
