That's just horse shit mate.. The clothes your cycle in or even the, bike you ride has zero bearing on the legs you bring to any cycling pissing contest I've participated in or witnessed. Road cycling is all about who gets to the top of the hill first regardless of how much money they have invested in the 'right' gear.
you dont know if my post is horse shit because you live in a different city.
and road cycling is not about who gets to the top first unless it is a race (a real life race where you pin a number on, not one on a website) - road cycling is about attitude
a lot of people have the right attitude. the loud minority seem to have the bad attitude.
ill continue riding around with a smile on my face, laughing at my ridiculous outift while i enjoy riding with my friends.
I've traveled a few times to your fair city to ride my roadie and my sweet fixed gear cycle back when I still did and its not that bad..
There is always a few idiots, where ever you go.. Mostly people new to the world of road cycling taking them selves way to seriously. But after 'pinning on a number' and getting to know local racers both young and old, they are pretty Kool guys, pretty darn friendly actually as long as you don't act like a dick or ride dangerously.
But then in your city there are cliques that don't get along in the ever dwindling fixed gear scene.. So maybe there are plenty of dick heads..
Funny thing is when you start racing you stop been on the out side of the more serious cycling circles, and once you stop been a Fred or an ironic hipster they are really pretty good guys
Also every cafe I've every been too is full of fixie hipsters who are every single bit as contrived as those kids in the rapah cafe video.
