Gilbert's bike is a 50, and the stem is a monster. He is only a little bloke though - I'd reckon 5'10" is really generous. Would post a pic, but the smallest I can get it is 320kB, and work computer is not generous as far as access to flickr etc.

You should have spent less time riding, more time weighing. Where are your priorities, man?
Funny thing is, if you look at the seatpost/bars/pedals in isolation, it looks pretty normal. Just when you stick those measurements onto a 50cm frame it looks odd. I agree - I certainly wouldn't call his position agressive. Someone previously mentioned moving the centre of gravity by using a smaller frame - that's exactly what this looks like.

The new shimano r320 in sky colors I believe
I'm 6 feet 2 and would ride a 55 BMC. That should say a lot about their bike sizing.

You are 6' 2" now? Really in other posts you were 6' 1".

I never took drugs to improve my performance at any time. I will be willing to stick my finger into a polygraph test if anyone with big media pull wants to take issue. If you buy a signed poster now it will not be tarnished later. --Graeme Obree
Yup, I went to the doctor's office last week for a physical and both of us were surprised. I was listed as 6 feet 1 and change during all visits in the past. My posture has also improved and I have upped my stretching and did a lot of off-season yoga so who knows? 6 feet 2 inches dead on the mark (hair under 188cm), but regardless, I'm tall and fit on an atypically small BMC size. IIRC, most pros on the team ride at least 1 size smaller than normal.
It also appears that other BMC riders changed their fits this year- Phinney, Adam Blythe, etc. so maybe in the off-season the team all got a fit session? I know that Sky gets them often, especially at camps.
Really, really weird that you remembered that and pulled those quotes.

You can't believe some of the stuff that pops into my head and connections are made.

I'd love to gain an inch between doctors visits
