Apparently 5.5g. Anyone used these yet, think they are the lightest clamps I've seen but they look quite flimsy to me.

I had one of the slightly heavier clamps from Mt Zoom and the band snapped with 3Nm (not enough to stop the seatpost slipping). I got a KCNC clamp at 12g to not have the stress of overly delicate parts for a few extra g's. Interesting looking clamp though!

Haven't seen how much it costs but it's worth a try if it ain't too costly, me thinks. Anthony from Mount Zoom gives great warranty. I had a ordered a carbon bar some months back and it came with a scratch mark (Which was only visible at an angle). I was worried that it was a crack inside but Anthony sent a new one over anyway.

Mine weighs 9 grams for a 34.9mm version (others are available) and only cost £10 with postage from USA, turned up in less than a week. It's super tough and hasn't budged a mm since installing. Would highly recommend.

Not tried them (ISPs all round) but the other Mt Zoom bits I've got have been reliable so far, evening been DHing with the skewers which i was a little dubious about but they were fine.

I've got an FRM - 11g one in Titanium, but the seatpost (carbon) slips constantly - avoid !

Despite my initial criticism I decided to give the 6g Mt Zoom clamp a go.

Having lightly greased the outer seattube and inner clamp and also turned it around so the slot faces forwards (all the tricks I could find online for lightweight clamps) it seem to be holding well. My scale is only accurate to the gram and it shows up as 6g... pretty awesome!

Will update if I encounter any problems (touch wood there will be not updates!)

hi there,
bringing this post back to life now :-)

Any other feedback on this clamp?
Have been looking for another seatclamp to match my WW build, but it must have no more then 12mm height, this checks on that department and weight as well.

You guess it would be a safe buy or should I been looking at another one?

cheers

Over 2 years use and still no problems (touch wood!). No slipping or creaking across 3 frames (Scalpel/ Scandal/ Chinese 29er). Seems like a quality clamp and I'd go for it again even if it weighed three times the weight :)
