On the boards today... my first time in about 20 years. But I couldn't let my son have all the fun.

Shot from yesterday, view to Clevedon Pier, Somerset, UK. 2 mins later I was sat in Murray's drinking some of the best coffee round these parts.

@Ted, what was the temperature in the velodrome? I noticed that Ryjder didn't have on tights in the first couple of pics, but everyone else looks rather bundled up.
I've never been a lightweight but after the nearly three years off the bike I'm now pushing 125kg. Still it's a nice sunny (or so I thought) day today so I pumped up the tyres, found a jersey I wouldn't bust the zip on and went out for a ride around the bays.
Just an easy spin, because that's all I've got in me. And if I'm going to ride more often then I'm going to follow the sage advice of Ferris Bueller... "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it".

And for this, my friends in the midst of a northern hemisphere winter, I apologise ...

Mt Donna Buang is a great climb - one of my Victorian top five. But I believe it would only be a Cat 1 and not HC Rush.
I'll be out there in regularly again this year preparing for my USA trip late August - usually knocking off threepeats...

It was quite cold yesterday.... just above freezing. I mixed photos from last weekend, which was considerably warmer, into this post. That's why you see Ryjder in shorts in some photos and tights in others. Yesterday was definitely a day for tights or leg warmers.

Strava says HC so that's good enough for me. On your website you list the total climb is 16.8 km at 6.4% (1,069 vertical metres).
Three-peats I must say the feeling of satisfaction I had when I finished the descent were tempered somewhat by watching guys who I rode up with the first time turning around for repeat.

Is that velodrome completely enclosed (vs. just covered)? Unheated?

It is completely enclosed, but I don't think it is heated. Just being out of the wind is nice. Honestly, I was overheated wearing just a l/s skinsuit and leg warmers. They play field hockey on the infield and, judging by what the girls are wearing when they play, it is plenty warm in there by Dutch standards.
107 km but had to walk a few km because ice and snow made some roads to slippery...
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.
