Well I got a 7800 crankset on ebay cheap. It came with the correct inner ring but with a 46T outer (gerhardt) which has come of in favour of a 53T outer. I have used a 7400 ring until I find a good used 7800 ring cheap enough. Weight has dropped a bit as a result. The outer ring is 92g which is not too bad.

Any pics of the bike with all the updates?
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.
