Disgraced Cycling Teams
Moderators: robbosmans, Moderator Team
Well, in light of the Lance Armstrong debacle, I have the desire to find and post pictures of the team bikes from UCI teams that were forced to fold because doping allegations. I don't follow pro cycling that closely but am sure there are quite a few. I know for certain Phonak folded because of rampant doping (I think they rode BMC's)...
Well any help posting some team bike photos would be appreciated to stroll down memory lane.

Linda McCartney rode Principia.
Spidertech is anything but disgraced. They couldn't find sufficient sponsorship to keep growing, so they shut down. They found jobs for many riders and staff and are paying next year's wages to the rest. Cycling would benefit from more teams like that, albeit with more financial resources.

How is Team Exergy a disgraced team? Their financial sponsor, Exergy, left the sport - nothing having to do with the team itself as far as I can tell. Unless you are saying that the people who rode for that team are disgraced? You do realize there are WW members who rode on that team, right?
and HTF (H = how) do you conclude Spidertech as being disgraced?
"disgraced" ≠ "disbanded" ≠ "sponsorship left" These are completely different terms from each other in English, and I'm sure they are completely different terms from each other in Italian.

sorry for that (and to the Exergy riders of this forum) I meant that some teams had bad luck, or some late withdrawal from their sponsors and so on. no intention of putting them into the disgraced group (like Liberty seguros, or Rabobank, which I forgot to add )
I misunderstood "disgraced" for unlucky or bad sponsor situation (you can see I wrote financial and other reasons, those being injuries, lack of wins and so on)
