Currently debating Dura-ace 9000 mechanical. The ultegra shifts really well and debated Di2 until figured 9000 mechanical isn't much more.
Just wondering if its overkill for a 5 series madone considering there is 6 and 7 series it be more suited to?

The wheels combines very nice with the bike.
Congrats.
Totally agree, no point going with a neutral colour like you see 9 times out of 10 on the road.

54cm frame for someone using a 65cm saddle height seems, big.

Beautiful bike! I also have the new Madone... Be careful w/ those XXX cages -- for whatever reason, the pair I had held the bottles really loose and I ended up swapping them out for the RXL or whatever plastic cage Bontrager sells. I believe I also saw this on the pro teams' setup, but I could be remembering incorrectly.
I find the rear brake feel to be awful w/ the stock brakes, what do you think? Have been meaning to purchase the new DA 9000 arm-mounted brakes, but have a thing against mixing/matching Shimano/SRAM (on my bike).

I had issues with the standard bontrager cables, I replaced these for full durace inner and outter cables and made sure they werent crossing inside the frame, now the brakes feel spot on front and rear, best they can be. Have a tweak at the brakes and you will be suprised, its all down to the cables though.
I was also considering the 9000 groupset but am not at that level myself to justify it.
Thanks for the heads up on the cage, I have a camelbak bottle and holds it nicely.
Do you have a build thread of your ride?

Yup, good advice on the cables. Need to do that.
Funny, I had a camelbak bottle also -- maybe they were defects (got off of ebay), but had the latest graphics, etc. Lame.
