So this is my Current project bike,
I have had the frame for a number of years and love the ride,stiffness and weight of it for the money.Im a student so trying to have a large frame with all of the above is pretty good.
Its a 61cm frame and weighs 990g which is not bad Since I started I've removed the Gear cable bosses with dremel,then Ive drilled into the frame then de-burred them with a fine end on the dremel.
It now weights some 963g Im having the Frame sanded and Sprayed as It needs to be blank,but im Planning on a matt black/ white colour combination.

Im trying to work out how to make the battery set up internal and lighter.. any ideas welcom bearing in mind Im non an electronics wizz.
The rest of the Build will be replacing the stock bolts on the Mechs and Jockey wheels.
Ill be running TRP 960 brakes or Dura Ace 9000,Sram Red crankset which is sanded and Will have Praxis Chainrings on or Dura ace 9000.
The Wheels will be my 4crosswheels 50mm wide rim tubs which come in at 1389g OR No tubes alpha 340 team's
Ill be running Veloflex tyres for summer use or pro4 grips for riding Spring time or Dura ace 9000.
Ive got It down (this frame) to 6.65kg with tubs and tuned sram red,but I wanted the shifting of DI2 for racing on.

Crank set: Sram Red with Praxis or Dura Ace 9000
Pedals: Dura ace carbon
Seat:Arione Cx carbon
Seat post: KCNC
Brake levers: Ultegra DI2 ( anyway to tune these?)
Rear Derailleur: Ultegra DI2
Front Derailleur:Ultegra DI2
Chain: Yaban SFL
Cables and housings: Gore Ride on
Botle cage: 2 xPlanet x carbon Sanded
Handlebar Tape:Lizard skins Thin

Any ideas how to cut weight for similar prices on items I need to buy? Or how to make U Di2 lighter?

Carbon tubes are not that good with compression forces so putting that frame in a clamp is maybe not the best thing.

The frame is only held lightly for display,Its only meant to hold..

Why not get the cables internal complete instead of that ugly junction under the bottom braket? For the battery the new seatpostbattery from Shimano is an easy solution.

I will be running them internal when the seatpost battery is available, I have good authority that it will be in the uk end of march,

In the meantime the colour scheme ive chosen for it is

it will have internal of the forks and rear stays a metal flake black... Ill update you as it happens.

Picture From outside in the sun... It really sparkles and the black has a blue metal flake pigment that catches the light too...

Have you done anything to reinforce it in the places where you have drilled the holes for the Di2 wires? I'm thinking about the risk of stress-fractures in these particular areas due to the material working under load in the long term?

Well the frame was done at my friends paint shack, regarding the drilling I researched the best method to drill into carbon,looked at best areas to do so...It looks clean drilling went well I drilled with a coolant.

All looks good to me.

Best method I tryed on some carbon sheet was use a dremel to get down to the raw carbon,then a ti bit at high speed for short time,very clean cut. Hope that helps.
