Travelled with the family to Baguio, about 250km from Manila. Took the morning off to do some rides.

One of the higher points in the country, at its coldest, it's just a "warm" 10 deg celsius 8)

There are filters (and scripts) in Photoshop that can fake this effect to varying degrees.
There are even software apps specific to this...
And the iPhone 5 can replicate HDR effects "built in" with each image taken, on the spot.

But, in the end, it's the subject matter which makes an HDR photo work. :thumbup:


Yes, you can fake it with many programs, but it still doesn't look like a "real" HDR photo that uses multiple exposures of the same image.

Great shots, especially the one with Fast Freddie. Last time I rode with a group containing a pro (someone from Kenda/5-hour Energy), I got dropped like a bad habit on the first hill...

Yeah, racing domestically for a last season. Didn't catch what team. Might not have anything nailed down yet. Then he is apparently going to focus on his clothing business, Gran Fondo, a juniors team and whatnot.

Finally back at my hotel - that little smudge you can see in the distance off my sh**ty camera phone- after two interminable months on Safari and on the Beach in Kenya. Glad to get back on a bike...and into the 18 degree cool of a Mallorquin winter
