I have a 2008 Scott Addict - ISP, black with yellow decals and accents - which I think was called the Team or LTD model?

Does my frame differ much from the newer models? It seems like they got new graphics for 2009/2010 and a totally new look for 2011.

Have they made the newer frames even lighter? I have seen people mention HMX and HMF carbon but I don't know which is considered better.

No. Just different graphics and they no longer offer the ISP version.

I wonder why not? Too costly to produce? Not a good design? Heavier? Or...?

It was more a fad than anything that added any function or saved any weight.

I can imagine a normal seatpost would generate a lot less headache for Scott than having your LBS hacking at frames.

Beyond the ISP they haven't really changed and are still great frames.

Probably because they no longer produce the Addict. The Foil replaced it and as there's not much in it in terms of weight and stiffness, they didn't see the need to develop a new non-aero race frame.

Scott seemed to produce less frames with the higher grade hmx carbon fibre at the end of the addict period. I guess yours is hmx so it is probably still really light even compared with todays frames.
I have an Addict CX RC made from hmx fibre and it really is a great frame.
Some of the later Addicts might have pressfit bb and yours maybe bsa?
