There are other more "messy" things like the RD for instance. The budget is already is exceeded, so used the thomson because i already had it lying around. I will might go for 3t cockpit+seatpost when a fresh load of dollars are falling from the sky.

Looking forward to see your caad finished, Anders.

Cheers

With that much post exposed the Thomson setback doesn't bother me at all. I actually prefer it to Dorico.

Finally - it's done (for now, at least ;) )

The weight target was reached - I'm very happy with 6.8kg (15 lbs) as this weight is with my 1500g training clinchers, a rather heavy Force casette and aluminium cockpit and seatpost. And also taken into consideration that it's a big boy aluminium frame.

If my inner weight weenie is screaming at me sometime, there are plenty of places to save alot of grams.

Future plans:
A Red Black RD

Also planning to get equal seatpost and cockpit (maybe 3T all over or Thomson - don't know and don't care for now. I'm just gonna ride this bike as it is now - the whole idea was to build a bike for small money and parts i had laying around).

Hope you like it - will do some better pictures soon.

6.8... spot on!

Looks awesome... especially the matte black Enve's.

And the scale in Soigneur NEVER lies...

He tried two scales - one said 6.76 and the other said 6.8. Actually one of the scales said 6.65 first lol. Let me weigh it with yours one day. But well if the weight at Soigneur weighs too much, like with the Canyon, it's fine ;P

The guys down at Soigneur was pretty impressed with that weight. Yeah, baby!

It IS pretty amazing...

Compared to my Aeroad with Enve's and "standard" tire/tubes combo weighing in at 6.815. It is mounted with all kinds of WW parts... AND the wheels are lighter than your training wheels. Did you blow some helium in the frame prior to weighing?

Damn...

Was out on a bike ride today. Suddenly my crank made loud *click* sounds (bad bad) and afterwards jammed.

When i checked i saw this:

I'm so nervous about either my frame or my crankset is broking.

Does any of you BB30/Hollowgram guys know if it's the bearing who have taken the beat or if i'm screwed ?
