Here's my current ride. If you guys have suggestions to bring the weight down, I'd appreciate it. (Note: The standard crank + Quarq powermeter is non-negotiable.)

Cipollini RB1000 (2012 Model)
Groupset: Red 2013
Wheelset: Zipp 303 Firecrest tubular
Tires: Continental GP400
Saddle: Prologo Scratch Pro Nack
Stem: Zipp SL Speed 120 mm
Handlebar: Zipp Service Course CSL 42 cm
Pedal: Look Keo Blade Aero
Bottle cages; Cipollini Carbon

Weight: 6.9 kg
Prior weight (with compact crank and without Quarq): 6.58 kg

Nice.
I would leave the weight as it is, as it is not a weightweenie frameset to begin with.
My RB1k is about 6450 gr with LW Std.

What size is the frame btw?

cheers!

Please don't get mad, but I really cannot like the RB1000 in a small size. I think above size 56 is much better.

Not at all; getting mad won't get anyone anywhere. Matter of personal taste. But ask an RB1000 owner (who really rides his bike hard) about the bike. My guesstimate - 8 out of 10 would answer you with a smile in his heart. And that's not because he's justifying his investment. :D

Choice! I like your machine. I suppose I could go with LW wheels. But I kinda like the 303 FC very much. I ride hard in all manner of road conditions, but the hoops just never failed me. 6000 km ++ since October 2012, and I only had to true the spokes once.

Size S. 49 cm c-c I think. You can check it out at Cipollini site.

Cheers.

Clean it, I'm sure that would take some weight off :beerchug:

But seriously, beautiful bike.

Lovely bicycle! Even nicer since it looks like just the right size for me... Very interested in this bike since it was first released!

I love Cipollini's....but the headtube is so short that I either have to start a serious yoga program or run a ridiculous stack.....
