Deda 35 bars and stems
Moderator: robbosmans
I tried one. Feels slightly stiffer than my Newton combo. Not that much. Interestingly it's quite a bit lighter than my 31.8 Presa. Maybe they have a new OEM factory?
Other than the design of those slots underneath the bar, it seems to be fine.
Note though, your overall front end stiffness is always limited by the weakest point, which is probably your fork steerer which is much smaller than your bar diameter (28.6 v. 35).

I like 'em, very stiff, reasonably light and a nice shape too but agree about the pain in the ass cable slots underneath! Also the graphics don't lend themselves well to tapeing the bars tidily, but thats probably the OCD in me lol.

I really like mine. My arms/hands play well with the Deda bend. I taped mine to the limit line on the bars, so didn' have the issue mentioned above. A bit of a pain to get the casing around a 90 deg bend though but that should not happen too often.
I found them very stiff, compared to Most talon
, and also over Deda Zero100

Nice bars. Got the cheap alubars on my CX but thinking of going carbon for the summer. Stem is as nice a normal Dedastem so just as I like it
BeeBee30: The logos are like that as you're not supposed to tape the top of your barends as it's already so thick. Just on the alubars without the wireguiding you have to do it.

thats why i think they really missed the point. the gradual taper on the 3t ltd series is better.

Been riding them on my NeilPryde and did a review on youtube as well: http://youtu.be/y80Er54FWyU?t=3s
I think 35 is a fantastiic format and in the case of HB and stem has a better road feel than 32.
Thicker grip on the tops has a good feel, I don't know that it's for everyone cause small hands might not grip well.
RHM shape drops have a great shape and they work well on SRAM, Shimano and Campa

Just bumping this thread to see if there are other recent users or comments re: the Deda 35... If you're a big rider with large hands (like me), do you like them? I haven't seen them in person, but I think I could tape the tops and still not have an issue with grip. Any more thoughts out there?
You can always double wrap your bars if you want a larger diameter.

Just commenting as I don't see a lot of user reviews on these but they're everywhere in the bargain bin.
I've had these for a couple of years- I found ordinary alloy bars that came with my bike too flexy for my 205lbs. I bought the 35s as they should be super stiff and make a ton of sense for road, where there's a ton of rotational force on the hoods. They are all that and more. Good vibration damping, great comfort, good feel. I have mine taped partway up the flat section- it gives almost a ball shape under the palm.
I will honestly not be carrying them over to my new build, as it's an aero bike and I feel a bit silly with a huge round tube prominent on the front of a 3T strada. Also, I've since lost almost 30lb and now feel them to be TOO stiff, and would like some additional compliance going over potholes and such. Regardless, very satisfied with the purchase- would be great to see other mfgs build some 35mm bars as they are all the range for MTB.
