My cf frameset 2012 model came with 1,5 cm spacer. Got it a couple of months ago.

Canyon website seems to say you get 25mm with a Compact or Triple chainset and 15mm with a Standard. Seem to also get different length stems depending on the chainset too.

That's a new practice. My 2012 AL Athena compact came with 15mm of spacers. Just ask them when ordering if you want something altered. They swapped the standard 420mm bars to 400mm's for a €20 surcharge on mine.

Thanks for the help. The website seems to vary between std, compact and Frameset. The translation on the Frameset appears to be 25mm inc I-lock. I will drop canyon a mail as the large would suit me but only with the 25 mm of spacers. I also believe in the past canyon have always only included 10mm of spacers on top of the I-lock.

Canyon send me the frameset and 25mm of spacers on top of the I-lock. (Ultimate size M).

Before i pull the trigger on a Campagnolo super record group set for my new Ultimate AL, is there anybody that has had zero issues with creaking from the BB? Not sure if i should replace the chainset with a Rotor Chainset and BB instead. I just don't want to build the bike up and have to start stripping it again and messing about.

hey wevergo2,

I see you ordered size M(56) and it would be very much appreciated if you can tell me your height and inseam. I am 178cm and 83cm inseam and they recommend 56 size but I am more for 54.

Thanks.

I am 1.78 too and has and inseam of 86 and ordered a 54. If you search you will find a pic. Personally I would think a 56 would be too big but it depends on desired bar height etc of course.

Height: 180cm and 84cm inseam.
I doubted also.
However size 54 cm is really too small for me.
I also think 56 cm will fit you best.

best regards,

wevergo.

Since they don't have size 54 (only 53) I will order 56cm and fit it from stem and saddle eventually.
Cheers!

I would go for 53. Toptube is the length you have to take. It is easier to adjust stem from 100 to 120 or 130. Than have a 54 and need a stem of 90 or 100.

I don't think so, you need a lot of spacers and there is no room for it, the forktube isn't that long (!), I even didn't cut the forktube because it is very short, size M (56 cm).
See previous pics of my new frame.

The Canyon Ultimate AL 56 cm (M) geometry: toptube is 54,9 cm.

My worry is to be able to stand up with the bike between my legs (in front of the saddle) and not touch the top-tube, this with or without shoes on. I hope the height of the bike at top tube don't exceeds 83cm because my inseam is 83cm.
