Hi,

I am a bout to build a new set for my rocky rides.
More training and AM then my usual XC racing ZTR Crest.

I can get the Arch for great great price 1/3 of the ArchEX.
Is the difference is that great in favor of the ArchEX or would the old Arch is tough enough?

Thanks,
Peled

Strength won't be the issue. The EX is wider, lighter, and sets up a bit easier tubeless. If its a cheap build go Arch, if you are spending big money on hubs and spokes then the savings may not be worth it since the rims won't be the expensive part anyway.

I like the wider rims, especially if you are already coming off a set of crests. The narrower Arch will be noticeable. The Arch EX is a better rim in every way. (except for the $$ :) )

tank you,

I will go with old Arch as I have one and the $$ is talking very loudly in my ears at the moment.
If anything will happen, I will then buy the ArchEX.
