Possibly a newbiesh... but is this the side of the seatpost that should facing forward or it doesn't really matter?

In order to have competitive pricing small companies cannot hire skilled people to do their work, unfornutately it´s so here for me.

So I fully understand Piotr´s problem.
I´m in the same boat here, working all time to deliver stuff at expense of my time with my family and other stuff.

Does the saddle work well for MTB? I'm worrying about the surface being to slippery...The Tune komm-vor is in two different variants for mtb and road.

Maybe it's possible to put som grip- or handlebar tape on it.....

I ride about one year now with this saddle at mine mtb,its not slippery.

I know some other guys who also rides with this saddle at their mt.'s and none of them complains about it.

Does anybody here have an issue with Smud honouring his warranty? I've written an email to him since 24 Dec 2012 regarding my cracked Smud saddle but till date, nothing heard from him yet.

I don't know about his warranty but he's very slow in responding to emails.
Send him the same email every week to two weeks if you don't get any respond.

I just received an e-mail from him today, about the shipping date for a seatpost, he told me that he was away for the Holidays.
And yes, he takes a lot of time to answer mails, but, having ordered from him, I guess you already know that.
Good luck

Just to give this thread some balance, I emailed Piotr asking about the best way to pay for a MTB Bottle Cage and got a reply within an hour. Payment was made and he emailed again straight away (in the evening) to say the cage would be ready in 10 days. 12 days later the cage arrived (spot on including shipping). The postage to the UK cost him around 7 EUROS so the price of the cage is even better value!

Very happy :D

I ordered from him a custom seatcollar and all was fine, fast e-mail response and got it reasonably fast. Nice guy to deal with imho.
Happy Trails !!!

Piotr replied within minutes for my order and questions via email. Perhaps try sending an email using a different email address in case it is lost in a mountain of Spam

Well... you must be the exception that confirms the rule.
I'm still wondering if my seatpost was already shipped and still waiting for Piotr to answer my e-mails.
I've ordered from him before and I know the way he deals, no prob...
