Yes your right.

Quality could also be added to any cycle clothing in the same price bracket. Assos, castelli etc. Even endura equipe.
The raw materials/fabrics/textiles are all fairly similar.

Bike as pictured without bottles of course looks very heavy. I'd say in 7-7.3Kg range. That is due to SRM and head unit, Campag EPS and after all Spesh S-Works are not the lightest frameset in the world. FSA seatpost isn't light either by weenie standards.

Surprising but understandable. Pearl Izumi PRO Series is fantastic. Love it.

Hincapie's not the first time a rider has brought a sponsor to a team.

I believe BMC is going full Shimano for 2013. Groups, wheels, bars and stems (Pro), and clothing (PI). Rabo/Blanco has been there for some time.
Does Shimano own a saddle brand btw?

How so? BMC Racing's move from Hincapie to Pearl Izumi was known since September of 2012. Kinda old news, no?

The only reason BMC rode in Hincapie kit was because.... drum roll please.... Hincapie was on the team. Guess what special clause was in his contract with BMC?
Hincapie announced his retirement in 2012, pretty early on. By September it was pretty much lock, stock, and confirmed for done.
The switch to Pearl Izumi was known and quite public a long time ago.

and, for those of you who still don't know, Pearl Izumi is a subsidiary of Shimano.

So, BMC is full Shimano - both in kit and in kit. Get it?

(edit: Kjetil also pointed this out, above. Sorry for the repeat)

Helmets make you bald :smartass:
I hate sky, but I must say there new kit is just as Sh%t as last years  and is Wiggo still going to wear his grandads slippers to race in
Its really looking like the circus is rolling in to town . Who's going to be the first team to have hooters on there bikes  No more water bottles just squirty flowers pinned to there shirts.
Simple and classy does not seem to be on the board. I suppose someone out there will spend a few hundred dollars to look like a £$%$

I think the Sky kit looks solid but not exceptional. I will never understand the irrational hate for Rapha. I have a bunch of pieces from them with excellent fit and quality.

The Sky kit looks good, distinctively Rapha. Maybe a smaller Union Jack on the right sleeve would be better.

It does look a bit Thunderbirds uniform though with the full kit :)
