Hi, Just received my Canyon Ultimate AL and need advice on the press fit BB.

I'm about to order a Campagnolo Super Record group set and know I also have to order the Campagnolo press fit cups due to the type of BB on the frame, thats all fine, however when ordering the group set, do I order the English thread or Italian tread BB or does it not matter? Sorry for sounding a little clueless, It's a press fit first for me!

Hopefully somebody can advise...

Thank you, Canyon said its the 86,5 so that's ok. Am i to assume the BB cups that come with the groupset will be surplus to requirements then? And i just need to order the Campagnolo press fit cups in size 86,5?

Campy has press in adapters for both BB30 and PF30 (press fit). The only difference is the diameter. BB30 is 42 and PF30 is 46. And yes you don't need the outboard cups.
Those adapters have a reputation for creaking so be sure to have them installed properly.

Thanks for the info, any tips on eliminating the chance of creaking? Prevention is better than cure as they say...

Hi, if Canyon is BB86 (I quess it is), order these ones:
http://www.excelsports.com/main.asp?pag ... =1&minor=6

The topic about fixing cups is here:

You should be using Loctite 609 + primer 7649 (it is kind of expensive....approx 70 EUR)

Would I be better getting a Rotor chainset and BB to reduce risk of creaking on the Canyon or would the likelyhood of creaking be the same? I just dont want the issues that some seem to of had.

campy makes an adaptor. just look for "41" on the box as its 41mm diameter. in fact i might have a spare one.

get the campagnolo ultra-torque os-fit 86.5x41 integrated bb cups. then apply loctite 641 on the bb and the cups to prevent creaking.

Thanks guys, ^^ this is what i'll be doing and fingers crossed it doesn't creak.

I'll be gutted if it does, the frame and forks look fantastic.
