Is it possible to build an 11-29 Campagnolo Cassette?

I've considered moving from my current setup to Campy someday. However, I've typically used an 11-28 cassette on my Shimano and Sram drivetrains.

Can you alter Campy cassettes? I'd love to have something like: 11,12,13,14,15,17,19,21,23,26,29 (a morph of the 11-23 and 12-29).

Here's a snapshot of Record cassette cogs:
The 11-23 includes- 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,21,23
The 11-25 includes- 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,25
The 12-25 includes- 12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,21,23,25
The 12-27 includes- 12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,25,27
The 12-29 includes- 12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,26,29

Thanks, Scott

No problem. Just take a 12-29 cassette & replace the loose sprockets with those from any 11-23. Voilà!

Awesome. Thanks! 8)

I wondered if it was easy ... so the only issue is the cost.

You'll need the first two cogs from an 11- up cassette and toss the 16T from the 12-29. Fortunately, that 16T is a loose cog.

I expect that you'll find the 15-17 shift to work poorly, since the teeth won't be properly timed for a 15-17 shift.

note that every one of the stock cassettes has the 15-16-17 sprockets. and 16t might be the most heavily used. personally, I'd much rather have that than an 11t. I'm using a 12-29 and very happy with it.

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...

Worked flawlessly when riding in the Var region & up the Bonnette. The 11 in itself isn't the reason I prefer it to a 12 up cassette. It's the fact that the 13 is in a useable position, that is third not second sprocket. Makes it possible to use 34 x 13, which is almost identical to 42 x 16. Perfect cruising gear fir me.

I generally run 50/39 with an 11/23 or 11/25. Only when it's mountainous does the 34 and then the 29 come out to play!

Again, thanks for the feedback.

Along the same lines, I suppose: is any 11 speed Campy rear derailleur compatible with a 29 tooth cassette? I have a buddy who heard that you need a "pre 2010" RD for it to work?

Buy a veloce 13-29T and a 11-something tooth. All the sprockets are seperate with veloce so you can have anything you want so long as the cogs exist.

Actually, it's late 2009 and newer shifters that will work with a 29T large cog. Only the early 2009 models had the different "B" screw mechanism, that won't allow the upper jocky pulley to clear a 29T cog.

Veloce cassettes are not a solution for an 11 speed, 11-29.
