My first (and unfortunately my last) orange bike was a Schwinn Varsity. That Parlee reminds me of why I liked that color so much! It's really nice and so is the Parlee logo! Was it painted at Parlee or another shop??

The frame looks a m a z i n g but the rest... wheels, crankset, stem, bottlecages, bartape are out of place IMHO :noidea:

Remove the wheel decals, and paint that stripe on the stem to match the frame!

4 seconds spent reading the OP into would show that the wheels are temporary. :noidea:

Did you manage to get the weights of the athena?

Didn't want to sound negative in anyway.

I would still personally take the stickers off as they are too big, independently from the bike used.

I think there is nothing wrong with those wheels btw, bit heavy but I guess they are for flat races.

:unbelievable: well... i'd love the frameset in either orange or nude... but honestly, i just don't like the unpainted lugs... or the painted tubes... :noidea:

i also do not think that the parts really are a good match, neither colourwise, nor shapewise. admittedly there has been put a lot of cash into this project, i am sure. but that just doesn't make it any nicer. :noidea:

That's an awesome bike. With the Jet 9's or some handbuilt hoops, it looks great.

Don't worry Daddy, I didn't build it for you. 8) Only on weight weenies would a guy w/a Trek on Lightweights call someone out on $ spent :?: (Nice Trek BTW) And don't worry, I own the shop so I was broke to begin with. :D

Sorry, I didn't weigh the Athena stuff; it wasn't a weight weenie project.

Love your Firefly JB! Have one on order for a customer.

Keep it coming fellas! And please start lobbying companies for orange parts!
