Rockshox x-loc hydraulic lockout
Moderator: Moderator Team
Anybody familiar with Rockshox x-loc hydraulic lockout?
It looks to me that the hose is pushed onto barbed fittings so in theory the hose can be shortened quite easily at both ends. (not that I particularly want to loose weight but on my recent fork purchase, it appears the hose was bent near the ends so has some minor damage, nothing to worry about).
... just noticed the clamp - is that clamp holding the gear shifters brake levers and lockout lever??
like this example taken off the web.

Mine got ripped off by a tree in a crash and I bought the bleed kit. Even after I cut the end of the hose off to get fresh material for the barb to latch onto, it never seemed to work well or stay bled. I finally sent the shock in since my shock came with a right hand button and I wanted a left. They put the new part on and bled it and everything is good now.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.
My bleeding problems could be related to the fact that it seemed like it never sealed well after the crash. The new one is still working fine.

I would like to know what bikedoc asked, no need for it as never lock them out.
"I could have done this job myself in five minutes, but as things turned out I had to spend two days trying to find out why it had taken someone else three weeks to do it wrong."
Removing the hose will result in it being locked out all of the time in the highest floodgate setting. I've got some pics of the XX damper internals here so you can see what I mean.
