Using a campy 11speed chain may work. I think I will give that a try. I would like to know what chain the above WW were using. Especially the guy who says his is working at 95%.

If the wheels already fit Campag 11, you should check with the hub manufacturers for their Shimano 11 freehubs and retrofitting them. The overall stack height of the Campag 11 is not less than that of the Shimano 11, so, they should be interchangeable/swappable if the Shimano 11 freehubs are available.

Unless of course you're Zipp and are acting like huge jerks, not making a kit for the 2011 wheels despite the fact they have 11 speed campy compatibility.

I'm hoping one the parts start trickling out in the next couple of months that something can be pieced together to make them work.

My DA7850 C24 carbon tubulars aren't going to be as lucky though.... LOVE those wheels and have two sets of them.

I keep eying those Ti freehubs and wondering if they can't be modified monchito style.
More than likely however there won't be enough space left between the derailleur and spokes unless your last cog is at least a 28 or 29.

This to me is the most obvious choice. I'm actually surprised you didn't try it first :)

Wondering if anyone has done a reverse compatibility best - a Dura Ace 9000 cassette with Campag shifters and deraillieur ?

Dura Ace cassettes are considerably less expensive than both the Record and Super Record options so I'd be interested in learning how the shifting compares in this scenario...

I was wondering if anyone tried this combination on a 7900 or 7850 rear hub? Using a wheels manufacturing conversion to campy 11 speed.
What they have done is this (and I quote from their web page): [quote]Campagnolo Ergo shifter-compatible Shimano Shimano 105 11-speed conversion cassette: 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-24-27. Eleven specially-modified Shimano 105 cogs on Shimano cassette for use with 11-speed Campagnolo Ergo shifters.[quote] The web page is: http://wheelsmfg.com/accelerator-11-speed.html.
What I believe this would mean is that with your 7900 or 7850 hub you could either use a campy 11 speed set up or what would be more exciting is that you could use your 7850/7900 rear wheels for shimano 9000 11 speed!

I am moving to 11sp but also have some charished 7850 Shimano C24 tubbies. I am hoping for a conversion option too but worst case scenario when I want to ride these I'll have to run the 11sp cassette 10sp by removing the 11T and using an extra spacer and 12t lock ring...and or course have to readjust the RD limits too. sucks.

Yeah, that is what I want to know. I have Campy 11-speed 12-29 with a triple on my tandem, but it would be great to have a wider range as in a mountain cassette, like 12-30 or 12-32. These are a lot more likely to originate from Shimano or SRAM than Campy.

A new thread on this topic was locked, so I'm reviving this one...

Any recent experience with compatibility between C11 and S11?

Alchemy has stated that some micro spacers are needed to make a C11 cassette line up perfectly with S11 (or is it the other way around?)... but I've seen no mention of the precise difference between the two, and nothing lately on whether they are close enough to work fine without modification. People reported mixed results previously.
