There is a reason M2Racer went out of business. I have several of their items and they were the lightest ever, but they all pushed the limits and eventually failed.

You can have light, strong, cheap choose any 2. In the case of M2 their stuff was extremely light and reasonably priced for the weight, but not strong. To make something as light as their seatposts that was actually strong would have cost 5 times as much.

Lynskey also has a nice carbon cradle that cradles the entire rail for $25 with hardware. You'll have to measure yours and call them.

The Lynskey cradle look nice, but when i tried to order one, they asked for $105 in shipping to Norway  . That's insane for a small $25 part. Sendt them an e mail, and will post their answer when I get it.

Hi,

From what I recall the reason they went out of business was the materials' prices going through the roof.
Maybe some of their products were pushing it but I own a few items by them and nothing's ever failed so far. Besides that quite a few of these products are now being copied and marketed by others. Some of which even lighter than the original ones.

I view M2Racer more as pioneers running into a bad set of circumstances rather than people that just pushed it too far.

Ciao, ;)

FibreLyte may do you a custom one. Call Stephen and ask if they would and cost etc.

Nice one. I'll remember that for when I make my next balls up.

The cradle from kcnc is widely available. For instance bike-components sell these. Also from R2 bike you can get some cradles.

That looks almost identical to the lower cradle on the Hylix zero offset seatposts on ebay, it even has the hole which will let lots of water into your frame if the post top is hollow.

Hi,

The bottom part of the seesaw would then go on top IIRC, the hole in the centre will let the bolt pass and there should go some sort of cylindrical nut to keep it all in place, correct?

If not that part is just an aluminium (?) half-pipe with the corners rounded so it can clamp the rails of the saddle down.
Seems easy enough to have it machined in a workshop.

Ciao, ;)

Go on ebay and do a search for omni racer. Same cradle.

Do you have any off cuts from steerers or seat posts. The LBS should have some bits of steerer.
If you can find a carbon tube that fits the curve you can jury rig a cradle pretty easily.

I bought about 10 pcs Smud carbon cradles, they do fit with minimal sanding.

They were lighter than AX Europa cradles.
7 grams each if I recall right.
