With i-links maybe, but with standard housing it's hard to get the loop tight since it does some odd things around the cable stop/starts dragging.

i-links/nokons may be a worthwhile upgrade.

Sorry to burst your bubble... But you'll get drag with the I links and the nokons if you try to run the rear cable section real tight. If you like a nice shifting rear mech then a gentile rear cable run is a must.. It's really not worth messing with

I'm lucky enough to own 2 sets of American Classic Carbon 58's, so I peeled one set, as suggested. I kinda like both.
