I have had this bike since 2009 and at first I really liked the white but I got tired of it pretty quick. For a long time I wanted to get it painted but I couldn't decide which color and since I like to do handy stuff my self I decided to remove the paint and and just leave the nude carbon for show.
The paint removal took forever, it seems like the top layer had some small dents where the primer stays and is almost impossible to remove. I used sand paper, I stated with a blade but the finish on the carbon wasn't supersmooth so I would end up damaging the carbon so sand paper was my only choice and the primer was so thick and hard and would have taken way more time.
The frame ended up weighing 782 gr. starting from 879 gr. I repainted the drops cable stoppers white since I wanted a bit of contrast from the carbon. The fork stays for now for 2 reasons, it can take the mk2 crud fenders and it's taller than the 3t that came precut with the bike and I'm having some back issues so I cannot go lower than I am now.

The cables will be mounted when I have fixed the cable guide. Dismounting it the attachment in the frame broke of because the screw was seized so I ordered a new one becaude I hade to brake the cable guide. I thougt I could just use some doublesided tape but the diameter of the guide is smaller than on the bottom bracket so I need to reduce the cableguide alot to make it fit or maybe someone else has a good idea.

Better pictures will be added

Nice! My fork is similar (it's Fuji) and while its maybe 50 g heavier than necessary, I hope the shape offers offsetting aerodynamic advantage relative to an Edge, for example

Doing a similar project on my Specialized and ordered Carbolift last week to make my life easier. One question would be is did you clear coat the frame or are you leaving it raw carbon?

 Came out really nice. I'd like to help you with some decals. Shoot me a pm.

I used Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 and I applied one coat before the decals and one after. I have some more decals but I will leave it like it is. Thanx

Light weight really impressive. R3 a really good choice.

Scoott C1 fork that the choice is not really good.

I like what you did there.

Wondering how the new fork has impacted the handling, if at all?

I think Cervelo would have preferred to keep it that way. (didn't realize.....)

I couldn't say since I put more spacers on the scott fork and therefore feels a bit different to ride.

Neat outcome, I agree (not a huge fan of the fork), a matte 3t fork might match nicely
