Not really helpful if at all so I guess we'll have to wait to find out more.

BTW, since someone mentioned sanding away the white stripe, if you sand off all of the clearcoat you reduce the weight by about 5g.
Furthermore, as most of you probably know, the actual average weight of a set is 130g not the 145g as often stated.

So the rear brake is just less "beefy", due to lesser demands being placed on it?

Come to think of it, what is the cable holder, and which brake(s) does it go with? Does that contribute to some of the reported front vs. rear weight disparity?

As this does not come with brake pads included, what would be a good holder?

The engage ones look much thicker and its quite heavy.

This one sells the complete set, i.e. brake pad holders + pads, all in for a good price too:

Annoyingly you'll only know the exact weight of the padholders if you know the weight of the pads. Nonetheless, while not ueberlight, they're not ueberexpensive either.

If it were me I'd go for a full carbon holder such as AX's own, Tune (lighter it would seem) or one of the asian offerings a la Jagwire, Ashima and what have you.

Basically that's what it boils down to I suppose.

The cable holders are the metal parts on the scale in the pic above. I assume these weigh 5g each, one for each brake, hence the 10g lumped.
