I dont know, I hope soon...
Now that the frameset, seatpost, sadlle and botlle cages are new.... I am thinking if I could find a NOS Dura Ace 7800 groupset
But it really depends on the price!!
I am still not sure about the stem/bar combo. All I know is that it will be Deda.
But which one?
- newton 26/215 shallow
- black zero100/newton shallow
- polished zero100/newton shallow

I'll vote for the newton option. Along with the older frame, an older gruppo the 26 mm stuff will be perfect. Plus it looks geourgeus!

Yeah, less black
I am also leaning more towards the newton stem and 215 bar
Wow, much of new stuff.... but still high prices. But I guess its worth saving for it
I think the bike might look a bit similar to that one, but with black bartape and sadlle.
Maybe I should have a downtube shifter....

It would be a nice detail with a downtube shifter. A lot of riders used that setup back in the day ( jalabert, pantani, LA. To name a few) dont really know why, but it could be so cool.
Consider newton/newton 31,6. The best bar stem combo i think. But maybe the gun metal zero 100/newton would match the frame/gruppo/seatpost perfect.
It's easy for others to say, but go for a nos da gruppo. Then you would have a all new vintage bike, one of my biggest dreams.

New to the forum, so hello everybody.
I purchased the C50 from majklnajt a few weeks ago and what a purchase! The C50 was as described and shown in pictures and packaging and communications were fantastic. A real honest guy and a gentleman with it!
If any of you want to purchase off majklnajt than I highly recommend him as a seller.
I'm one proud C50 owner right now but just the headache of what to buy to build her up and of course making the bank manager unhappy with me!
Congratulations purchasing the Trek Madone a lovely looking frame and I'm sure many a happy mile/kilometre riding her!
Look forward to perhaps chatting to some of you.

Yes, those are LW`s on LA`s bike. And as I said many times, I would kill fot hat bike!
I think a downtube shifter only makes sense if you have 6,7W/kg
I am leaning more and more towards the newton 26...
And its also a possibility to get a new 7800 groupset. We`ll see.
Mr. SuperSonic, thanks for the kind words! It was a pleasure making bussines with you!
And thanks again for making my dream possible!

personally i would not go for the polished deda stuff for one reason: to many shades of grey... seriously, on the colnago-piccie you can't see it, but the deda parts aren't silver but they lean into a greyish direction that is hard if not impossible to match. whatever the groupset will be, whatever the components will be, they won't match the polished deda stuff...
even though i am not a huge fan of silver, maybe silver would be an option? silver would match the DA7800 better, and with the ritchey classic series parts would be affordable too:
still, i would go for black deda zero100 stem and bars. btw, there was a blue zero 100 version too!

Thanks for the effort! But it has to be Deda
I am now 90% sure it will be Newton 26 and 215 shallow
