Recently the board software has been updated and there are some known bugs/failures:
- Avatars are currently not being displayed ✔ FIXED
- Tapatalk connection is currently broken ✔ FIXED
- Avatars cannot be uploaded ✔ FIXED

Please note that we will soon do some changes in WW board template design in case to get a fully mobile/desktop responsiveness board!

Only weighed the rear brake section from the bars.
I links with liner came to 11g AiCAN section came to 6g
I'll do some comparisons when I get a chance..
I think the minis are marginly lighter..
But there is a good saving over the std I links

Even if they weighed the same, they certainly look better than the i Links. Just hard for my niggardly ass to justify the $$$.

pfft this is weight weenies not penny weenies... and i totally reckon this system has an outa the box life span of 4-5 times standard cables/housing systems

that makes it cost effective in the long run..

more importantly the built in liners have the same id for both shift and brake housings.. meaning the shift housing is VERY low friction.
the difference in shifting is so good it makes you do these ones :shock:

worth the cost for the improved shifting alone. :mrgreen:

Have to say I was thinking about getting these cabling systems, but I'm slightly sceptical when comes to these kind of light alloy housings.
Mini I link for instance, doesn't work well when taken out of the box. Alloy segments compress themselves under the levers/cable stress for a quite long time until they reach the point they don't do that anymore.

How about Aican in that respect?

Apart the weight, they look very clean and tidy.

Cool, all built up but my LBS had issues with the rear brake cable not being able to thread it through the housing. No issues with the dearailleurs or front brake but the rear cable they couldn't get it to come out the housing so I had to put a standard Campag one through :(

I don't have the tools or expertise to do these things. My LBS are the NZ importers for BMC and also are the local sellers for Cervelo, Cannondale, Colnago, Pinarello. They get to work on leightweight stuff quite a bit and are pretty clued up with this. Like I said they had no issue with the other three cables just this one.

What's the frame set in question..
I'm sure with some more info and maybe a picture or two we can nut this one out for you..
It's as easy to fit as std cables and if you can fit std campag cables you can totally fit the Aicans..

BMC SLR with the standard Aican cable, not powercords or anything. They tried threading the cable through just in a straight line with no kinks to see if it was the bend - (which is no different to what it was with the previous cable set) - and it wouldn't come out the other end. We'll retry it on Monday when I drop the bike back.

Must be a messed up liner section in there some where.. Push some cable through and where it jams pull the housing apart. Replace as many links as you need too..
The shifter and brake housings are identical so you should have plenty to work with
