Not a lot of road in these pictures either. The -13C will have to take the blame :|

A cool and foggy morning here in South Carolina's low country.

A big change from summer here!

About a week ago I did La Cumbre in Maracay Venezuela, 12 km climb with 17% sections and 30 km downhill. I borrowed a bike from a friend and he drove his car next to me with my wife and my father in law who gave moral support Image Image Image

Another cool 5 degree ride around the mendips today with Burrington coombe and Cheddar gorge under the belt.

on top of the Mendips, looking over to Wales.
Image

some of the local wildlife!
Image

the start of Cheddar Gorge proper...
Image

the gorge was closed to the masses due to rockfalls, check out the foreground for evidence! Some big lumpy stuff strewn all over the place
Image

just after the people the road heads left and up the 'wall' as I call it, a few pedal strokes of hell then a nice steady climb back up to the top of the mendips..
