I've got a bike that I'm rebuilding and wil be taking it from 8 to 10 spd.
So consequently a Shimano 7900 rear derr. is planned with a bit of lightening.
I can figure out what most of the bolts/screws will save but not the pulleys.
Does anyone know what the stock 7900 pulleys/caps weigh? Thanks.

I love the way your DA rear mech looks - I'm not a big fan of the two tone anodizing on the original, but probably not brave enough myself to do that on mine! Seriously considering the carbon fibre jockey wheels though; thanks for the inspiration on these.

kevo, do you know the original weight of the front DR ? FWIW the Shimano basement bottom FDR for triple on my Bikes Direct assembly is 110g. It is xtra now, a potential sacrifice victim :beerchug:

Merciful poodle, please be kind here :D Can you please describe the removal operation. Dremel, just lightly shave off exterior areas away from the pivot points ?

My FDR has aluminum upper cammed or moving parts and the ferric guide lower part. My crude guess is that the lower steel part weighs more than the entire upper parts combined. Did you shave the guide shoe on your DA FDR ? It doesn't look like it, or you polished it very well

Anyone know where to buy BTP parts? I have an email into BTP, but no response so far. Also any good places to buy metric aluminum bolts to replace derailleur ones?
