does anybody have these brakes?
help!
(actually, i'm trying to help a pal out who has 'em but isn't too savvy on how they're designed/made, and i don't have ready access to the bike otherwise i'd be answerin' my own questions... )
hard to tell from photos if the bolt is molded into the pad holder itself and a nut screws on top of it outside the caliper, or if the pad holder itself is threaded and a regular m5 bolt screws into it (like most brakes, a la shimano, et al).

I would go with titanium. The original bolts supplied by AX are aluminum which I ripped off the heads by simply hand tighten like your friend.
Bottle cage bolts comes in various lengths, make sure you get the correct length cause too long of a boltswill push the pad out of the holder.

Hi,
The bolts are marked 4Nm so they must be made of aluminium. Probably 7075 T6 spec. They require a Torx T20 key to tighten too.
