Yes it is a pretty robust set up, I fly on average every fortnight and build and strip it about 30 times a year - the Baum frame was a bit of an investment for something that travels in the cargo hold of airliners but the Columbus Spirit tubing is solid, light and has a great feel to it. Darren Baum was great to work with and created a modern classic!
I used an old 7800 group set off my 2005 Madone and had some Mavic open pro wheels I could use as well. With Conti 25mm Gatorskins it can cope with exploring lots of different roads in all weathers - from European winters to the tropics, bike trails and fast bunch rides.
Now with a cockpit setup I have been adjusting over the 4 years, I feel I have really hit a sweet spot with it and it has reached definite favourite status in my collection.
