What kind of cases do you have for your iPhones to make them tough enough for training rides? Been thinking of using my old iP4 as a training phone, but I guess it will not live for a week in the wet jersey pocket without a good case.

I am not going to use the phone during my rides very much, perhaps just a photo every now and then. I will not run any training apps on the phone either during the ride.

Ziplock sandwich bag.

Then you might consider a $30 Nokia.
Whow! That's a pretty damn nice garage door!

That Nokia... I've seen $50 iphone cases... And the iphone is too big for a training phone.

We have these small zip loc bags with an actual zipper from BMC in our shop that we give away to customers. Works like a charm!

Lifeproof for that occasional diversion into a river. :smartass:

I use mine a lot (until I switched to the iPhone 5) and will probably get one for the 5 soon. Maybe a bit of overkill, but better safe than sorry!

Simple Ziplock sandwich bag does the trick.

Been carrying my phone while riding for years without issue. iPhone 3g, Nexus One, iPhone 4s.

I am strangely proud of the fact that i destroyed a Blackberry on a rainy, freezing climb up Hautacam. Tiny ziplock bags ever since!

Clingfilm.

Seals it from moisture, still allows the phone to be used AND it is almost weightless!

+1 for the sandwich bag.

I also find that it reduces wind noise when you talk on the phone.
