I did it yesterday, although I did not finish. Started having chain slippage on the steep climbs. Guess I need a new chain and rear cassette. Steepest grade was Canton Avenue (37%). I think I'll use a 34 x 29 next year.
It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

I am hopefully going to do it next year. I live in Mississippi, but I am originally from Binghamton, NY......going to go to my parents for Thanksgiving then head down and hit this up. Mississippi doesn't give me much in the way of 37% climbs, but I guess I'll have to find one good hill and hit it with some repeats! :beerchug:

I got through the first ten hills then flatted about a mile later, tried to jump over a large concrete pot hole and rear tire hit the corner and blew a hole in the sidewall. Canton was the easiest hill for me and was the hill I was most worried about, overall if you don't treat it as a race it's easy and fun, once you try going all out against guys like Steevo it's not fun anymore! Record turnout of 300 or so riders, can't wait till next year.

I love that its so steep that if you aren't moving forward you slip backwards. The fast guys slay it.

Completed it today! 36 degrees with snow flurries. Suffolk/Hazelton/Burgess (Hill #6) was the hardest in my opinion.

Is that because it's right after #5 Logan?

I've ridden Suffolk more than the rest, so maybe I know what to expect there more than any the other hills. I find Logan's steepness at the end to be more of a challenge.

Are the results posted anywhere? Chew's site doesn't have 'em posted yet.
